Accessibility Statement

Last updated: May 23, 2026

The Pearl Antique Store is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

What we do

  • Provide text alternatives (alt text) for meaningful images.
  • Use semantic HTML with proper headings, landmarks, and lists for screen readers.
  • Ensure the site is fully navigable using only a keyboard.
  • Provide a "Skip to main content" link at the top of every page.
  • Maintain visible focus indicators on all interactive elements.
  • Use color contrast ratios that meet or exceed WCAG AA.
  • Respect the prefers-reduced-motion setting — animations and the auto-rotating gallery pause for users who request reduced motion.
  • Provide a manual pause control for the rotating image gallery.
  • Label all form fields and indicate required fields clearly.
  • Ensure tap targets on mobile are at least 44 × 44 pixels.

Assistive technology

The site is designed to work with the latest versions of major screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack) and the current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
